Our driver-guide is first and foremost a wonderful person full of patience and caring and a sense of humor. He conveyed a lot of knowledge in many different fields in an interesting and clear way. An excellent guide and a great person.
Our driver-guide was very helpful, helped us out with any questions, wants or just general information. Very knowledgeable in all areas and New Zealand. First class driver and tour guide.

Overall I loved the trip, we covered a huge amount of country (a lot of driving) but our driver-guide managed to break the trip up each day which helped. Abel Tasman Park, Wānaka and Milford Sound were my highlights.
Informative and interesting tours. Rotorua events very entertaining. Our driver-guide had extensive knowledge of all areas of tour, very patient. Was able to provide commentary while maintaining good driving skills.
Clearly catered towards a mature audience. Very much enjoyed the food at each of the scheduled meals. Our driver-guide was kind, affable, generous and, above all, supremely knowledgeable, with the ability to answer, in some detail, any questions we had throughout the trip. Good, varied stops for lunch and other stops were of a sensible frequency and duration.
Our driver-guide kept the group well informed on daily and upcoming events the following day. Very knowledgeable on topics and history of South Island, he had gatherings that included the whole group.

Best driver ever! She was great with stories and showing us the beautiful country and culture. The stops in small towns helped break up long times in bus. She made this trip very memorable, we absolutely loved having her as a driver.

The tour was outstanding. We were treated royally. It was a wonderful introduction to the North Island. We highly recommend this tour. Our driver-guide made the trip fun. She was very attentive.
The entire bus tour was incredible. On our way to each destination on the tour, we would stop at other sights to see and for meals, as well as the scheduled stops. Our driver-guide was very knowledgeable about everything we saw, made sure everyone was comfortable on the bus, handled check-in and check-out of the various hotels easily, and made sure those of us taking special excursions got to them in a timely manner and were picked up as scheduled.
We have travelled extensively, but I’ve never had such an amazing experience with such a qualified and attentive guide. Our guide could not have done anything more for us than he did. He considered everybody’s individual needs and somehow managed to satisfy the whole group. I would recommend Pure Discoveries® to anyone wanting a South Island tour.
The driver-guides REALLY made the difference on this tour. They're some of the most knowledgeable people we have encountered on any trip we've taken, really! Their levels of knowledge on certain aspects of the culture and history completely filled in any blanks! Great personalities on both... we grew to really love them! This journey was one of the most Spiritual trips I've ever been on, and I've been on a few! The guides really made it special.
Loved all the activities, especially Māori culture education, Milford Sound, seeing wildlife like endangered kiwi, birds, hikes. Our driver-guide had great stories and background from his experiences.
I enjoyed both islands. Nothing was particularly strenuous; all the walks were pretty easy. Hotels were all good and all the sights were well chosen. I'd certainly recommend Pure Discoveries® and this particular tour.
