Clearly catered towards a mature audience. Very much enjoyed the food at each of the scheduled meals. Our driver-guide was kind, affable, generous and, above all, supremely knowledgeable, with the ability to answer, in some detail, any questions we had throughout the trip. Good, varied stops for lunch and other stops were of a sensible frequency and duration.
The Kōwhai is one of the best-known native trees in New Zealand and it’s our unofficial national flower. Named after a Māori word meaning yellow, the Kōwhai’s iconic and brilliant yellow flowers stand out among the forest greenery in early spring.
